About me

Erika is a full time Illustrator, specializing in costume design and spooky character magic.  Erika’s illustrations  explore dark fantasy and gothic romance. Her work prioritizes stark contrasts, heavy use of black, and a “less-is-more” approach. She works primarily with pencil, ink and acrylic gouache. Her focus is centered in creating gothic and folklore-driven illustrations with a balance of horror and humor, to entertain and delight.

She enjoys drawing gently spooky art with fauns, cats, mermaids, and glamorous vampire girls. Her greatest inspirations are folklore, fairytales, supernatural themes, vintage books, childhood memories and the world around her.

She studied Illustration at Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She loves what she does and wakes up every morning eager to create and with a willingness to grow as an artist.
